NEWS: FCD Reserve get demolished by Colorado Rapids Reserves + more 2:45 am Oct 5th

Heres the next FC Dallas news update, see what FCD has been up to today.
FC Dallas Head Coach Schellas Hyndman

On making early subs:

I thought we weren’t getting┬áanything in┬áthe center midfield. Our idea was to put more pressure on the back four by going with some speed up front, and I thought Colorado did a good job bypassing the defense, so we weren’t getting much out of it. I thought we surprisingly played much better once we made the change. That was the bright spot coming into halftime. We’re down 1-0 but the bright spot was that we’re starting to get a little bit of the ball…

FC Dallas Reserve lost 5-1 to the Colorado Rapids Reserves on Sunday.  Quincy Amarikwa had a first half hat trick for the Rapids.  Ruben Luna netted the loan goal for FCD.  Ross LaBauex and Andre Akpan  netted the other two goals for Colorado.

The Rapids Reserves move to 3-5-1 on the season while FC Dallas falls to 4-4-0 in MLS Reserve League action. FC Dallas’ next Reserve League match is scheduled for Wednesday, October 5 against the Sporting Kansas City Reserves on the adidas Field at Pizza Hut Park…

Despite a lineup shift to a 4-4-2 and the reunited wide pair of Brek Shea and Marvin Chavez, FC Dallas was once again held scoreless, this time by the Colorado Rapids. FCD has now been shutout in four straight games, a first in franchise history. FCD will need to score in the first four minute of their next game to avoid breaking the franchise scoreless mark (364-minutes).

Immaturity again played a role for Dallas as head coach Schellas Hyndman was forced to pull off the dynamic Jackson just 34 minutes into the game after an early yellow card…

FCD has released the training schedule this week and the club is taking a little break.

The team will be training Monday and Tuesday leading up to a reserve game on Wednesday at 10 AM on the adidas training field against Sporting KC.

After that the club is taking off Thursday to Sunday as their next game is Wednesday, Oct. 12 against the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park. That game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT.

When fatigue is such a massive issue with a club, I have to think this break is a good idea…

After meeting in last season’s MLS Cup, FC Dallas and the Colorado Rapids are in control of the top two wild-card spots for this year’s postseason. The playoffs, however, are probably the last thing either team is thinking about.

Coming off yet another shutout defeat, Dallas hopes to avoid losing four consecutive league games for the first time in seven years Saturday night when it visits a Rapids team that is winless in seven weeks.

FC Dallas (13-10-7) owns an eight-point advantage over D…

We talked a little last week about how outstanding the current state of the FCD Academy is, so this week I thought it would be worth looking at the prospects the program has produced in the last few years.

There is a ton of info here collected by a lot of people. Special thanks to long time reader Charlynn Helms who complied all this info and was willing to share it.

Let us once again recognize the amazing job Oscar Pareja is doing with this program…
